Hepatitis B Immune Globulin Injection

Washington, DC rates for HCPCS 90371

An injection into a muscle of ready-made antibodies against hepatitis B, giving immediate protection after a possible exposure. It is used for newborns of infected mothers, after a needlestick, and after sexual contact with an infected person. Protection begins within hours but wears off after a few months, so it is normally paired with vaccination.
