Tynbil ("Tynbil", "we", "us", or "our") operates tynbil.com and its subdomains (the "Site"). These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Site. By using the Site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
The Site publishes aggregated statistical rate data for healthcare services. The figures are derived from the machine-readable files that health insurers are required to publish under the federal Transparency in Coverage rule and related price transparency regulations. We collect those public files, then filter, clean, and aggregate them into summary statistics.
Services on the Site are identified by standard billing codes (HCPCS, MS-DRG, APC, RC). The plain-language descriptions shown alongside those codes were written by Tynbil.
The Site is for general informational purposes. The rates shown are statistical summaries of insurer filings. They are not price quotes, and they do not guarantee what any particular provider will charge, what any particular plan will pay, or what you will owe for care. The Site does not provide medical, legal, financial, or insurance advice. Confirm prices and coverage with your provider and your health plan before making decisions.
You may browse the Site and make ordinary personal or internal business use of the information it displays. Without a written agreement with Tynbil, you may not:

The Site's design, text, code descriptions, and the selection, arrangement, and presentation of its data belong to Tynbil. The underlying rate filings are public regulatory disclosures published by insurers. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
The Site may link to websites and services that Tynbil does not own or control. We are not responsible for their content, their privacy practices, or any loss arising from your use of them. Read the terms and privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
The Site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. The underlying insurer filings are large, messy, and sometimes wrong, and errors can survive our processing. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tynbil disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current, or that any figure on it is accurate or complete.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tynbil will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Site, even if we have been advised such damages are possible. Tynbil's total liability for all claims relating to the Site is limited to the amount you paid Tynbil for use of the Site in the twelve months before the claim arose, or 100 USD if you have paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain of these exclusions or limits, so they may not fully apply to you; in that case each limit applies to the greatest extent the law allows.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, if you breach these Terms or use the Site in a way that harms it or others. Upon termination your right to use the Site ends immediately.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, excluding its conflict of law rules. If you have a dispute with us, contact us first at hello@tynbil.com and we will try to resolve it informally.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
