Daily Critical Care For A Critically Ill Infant, First Day

Vermont rates for HCPCS 99471

A physician or other qualified clinician provides the first day of intensive, ongoing hospital care for a critically ill infant or young child roughly one month to two years old. Because the child's condition is unstable and requires close, continuous attention, this covers all the connected care given that day, not a single brief visit. Each following day of similarly intensive care is handled as its own separate service.
