Second IV Drip Running at the Same Time

Washington rates for HCPCS 96368

Covers a second medicine given into a vein at the same time as another infusion that is already running, delivered through the same intravenous access. It is billed in addition to the main infusion, because running two solutions together takes extra preparation, separate pumps or lines, and closer watching for reactions between them. It is never the only infusion service on a visit.
