Fine-Wire Muscle Recording During Walking

Oregon rates for HCPCS 96003

A recording of the electrical activity of a single muscle while the patient walks or performs other movements, made through a very fine wire placed into that muscle. Because the wire sits inside the muscle it can record from deep muscles that surface electrodes cannot reach. It forms part of a walking analysis used to plan treatment for a movement problem.
