Covers continuous monitoring of the nerves and spinal cord while an operation is going on, with a specialist physically present in the operating room devoting attention to that one patient. Electrical signals from the nervous system are watched constantly so the surgical team is warned immediately if a nerve is being put at risk. It is billed in 15-minute blocks for the time the specialist is in attendance.
