Nerve Conduction Study, Extensive

Georgia rates for HCPCS 95913

This test measures how well electrical signals travel along nerves by applying small electrical pulses to the skin over a nerve and recording the response, checking many individual nerves in a single, more extensive testing session than a basic study. It's used to help diagnose nerve damage or dysfunction, such as that caused by diabetes, a pinched nerve, or a more widespread nerve condition affecting multiple areas of the body. It's often performed alongside a related muscle-testing exam called electromyography.
