Emergency Stent or Angioplasty During a Heart Attack

Delaware rates for HCPCS 92941

Reopens a heart artery that has become completely or almost completely blocked during a heart attack. A catheter is passed from an artery at the wrist or groin up to the heart, and the blockage is cleared with a balloon, a stent, a device that shaves the blockage away, or suction of clot, whichever the situation calls for. Restoring flow quickly limits how much heart muscle is lost.
