A program of exercises to train the eye muscles and improve the use of both eyes together, worked through with the patient by an eye care professional who also reassesses progress as the course goes on. It is used for problems such as an eye that turns, difficulty holding focus at close range, or a weaker eye that is not being used properly. It runs across a series of visits, with exercises practiced at home in between.
