This is an eye exam that uses a special mirrored lens placed gently on the surface of the eye to closely examine the drainage angle, the area where fluid exits the eye. It's most often used to evaluate or monitor glaucoma, a condition where pressure builds up inside the eye. The exam is done in the office and doesn't require surgery.
