This is a hands-on training session, typically 15 minutes long, in which a clinician uses sensors to help a patient learn to control the muscles around the bladder or bowel opening. Small sensors measure muscle activity or pressure and display it so the patient can see, in real time, how well they are contracting or relaxing the right muscles. It is commonly used to help with problems such as difficulty controlling urine or bowel movements.
