A small, ready-made dose of protective antibodies injected into a muscle for someone with Rh-negative blood, to keep their immune system from reacting to Rh-positive blood cells from a pregnancy. This lower-strength version is the one used after events early in a pregnancy, such as a miscarriage, an ectopic pregnancy, a termination or a procedure, where only a tiny amount of blood is likely to have crossed. The charge covers the product itself; giving the injection is billed separately.
