Hepatitis G Virus Genetic Detection

Kansas rates for HCPCS 87525

A laboratory test that checks a blood sample for the genetic material of hepatitis G virus, a blood-borne virus in the same family as hepatitis C. A probe binds that material directly, without a step that first copies it, and the result says whether the virus was found rather than how much of it is there. It is a presence-or-absence answer.
