West Nile Virus Antibody Test

North Dakota rates for HCPCS 86789

This blood test looks for antibodies the immune system makes in response to a West Nile virus infection or, in some cases, past exposure. A positive result indicates the person was infected with West Nile virus at some point, though this test alone may not clarify how recently. It is often ordered together with other antibody testing to help build a fuller picture of infection timing.
