Fructose Level In Semen

Vermont rates for HCPCS 82757

Measures the amount of fructose, a natural sugar, in a semen sample. The seminal vesicles are what add this sugar to semen, so a very low or absent level suggests those glands are missing or the ducts leading from them are blocked. It is used in the investigation of male infertility, particularly when no sperm are found.
