Urine Test For Cystine And Homocystine

Vermont rates for HCPCS 82615

A urine test that checks whether two sulfur-containing building blocks of protein, cystine and homocystine, are present in unusual amounts. The result is reported as present or absent rather than as a measured quantity. It is used to look for inherited conditions that cause repeated kidney stones or that affect growth and development.
