Catecholamine Blood Test

West Virginia rates for HCPCS 82383

Measures catecholamines in a blood sample — the adrenaline-type hormones that drive the body's fight-or-flight response and help control blood pressure and heart rate. Unusually high levels can point to a hormone-producing tumor. The sample is drawn under controlled, restful conditions because stress, posture and some foods and medicines change the reading.
