Carbon Monoxide in Blood Test (Quantitative)

New Hampshire rates for HCPCS 82375

This blood test measures the exact percentage of hemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying protein in red blood cells, that has carbon monoxide attached to it instead of oxygen. It's used to confirm and gauge the severity of carbon monoxide exposure, such as from smoke inhalation, a faulty heater, or a car exhaust leak. The result helps guide how urgently treatment, such as oxygen therapy, is needed.
