Stool Bilirubin, Present or Absent

New Mexico rates for HCPCS 82252

A stool test that checks whether bilirubin, the yellow-orange pigment made when old red blood cells are broken down, is present. The result is simply present or absent rather than a measured amount. It helps show how bile pigment is being handled as it passes through the intestine.
