Nuclear Medicine Study For Urine Backflow

This is a nuclear medicine imaging study that checks whether urine is flowing backward from the bladder up toward the kidneys, a condition called reflux. A small amount of radioactive tracer is placed in the bladder, and a special camera tracks its movement to see if any flows in the wrong direction. It's often used in children with recurrent urinary tract infections to check for this underlying cause.
