Guided Placement Of A Long Intestinal Tube

Imaging guidance while a long, weighted tube is passed through the nose and stomach and worked onwards into the small intestine. Short bursts of live X-ray are used repeatedly to check where the tip has reached and to reposition it as it travels. The tube is used to drain a blocked intestine or to deliver feed beyond the stomach.
