Bone-Anchored Hearing Implant With Magnet Attachment

Rhode Island rates for HCPCS 69716

Implants a hearing device into the bone of the skull behind the ear, so sound can travel through the bone directly to the inner ear. The implanted part connects to the sound processor worn outside by a magnet through unbroken skin, so nothing passes through the skin surface. It is used for certain kinds of hearing loss when ordinary hearing aids do not work well.
