Bone-Anchored Hearing Implant

Vermont rates for HCPCS 69714

Fixes a small titanium implant into the skull bone behind the ear so that sound can travel through the bone straight to the inner ear, bypassing the ear canal and middle ear. An external sound processor attaches to it. It is used when a conventional hearing aid cannot help, such as with a blocked or absent ear canal or hearing in only one ear.
