Repair of a Leak at the Oval Window of the Ear

Vermont rates for HCPCS 69666

Seals a leak at the oval window, the membrane-covered opening where the tiny hearing bones meet the inner ear. When it leaks, inner-ear fluid escapes and causes sudden or fluctuating hearing loss, ringing, and dizziness. The middle ear is opened and a small graft of the person's own tissue is placed over the opening to seal it.
