Eardrum Repair With Mastoid Bone Surgery

Vermont rates for HCPCS 69643

Repairs a hole in the eardrum while also opening the mastoid bone behind the ear to clear disease out of it, with the wall of the ear canal left intact or rebuilt afterwards. Keeping that wall means the ear canal holds its normal shape rather than being opened out into one large cavity. The chain of hearing bones is not rebuilt as part of this operation.
