Covering The Whole Cornea With A Tissue Flap

Vermont rates for HCPCS 68362

A thin sheet of the clear membrane that lines the white of the eye is drawn across and stitched over the entire surface of the cornea. The living flap brings its own blood supply, which settles pain and lets a badly damaged or non-healing surface heal beneath it. Vision through that eye is obscured while the flap is in place.
