Division of Eyelid Reconstruction Flap

New York rates for HCPCS 67975

This is a follow-up surgery performed weeks after a major eyelid reconstruction, in which tissue that was temporarily borrowed from the opposite eyelid to rebuild a large missing section is now separated to complete the repair. During the original surgery, the two eyelids are partly joined together so the borrowed tissue can develop its own blood supply in its new location; this procedure divides that connection. It restores separate opening and closing function to both eyelids.
