Opening The Eye Socket To Drain A Collection

Maine rates for HCPCS 67405

An incision is made into the eye socket, either in the skin near the eyebrow or hidden inside the eyelid, to drain a collection of pus or fluid from behind the eyeball. No bone is removed to gain access. Draining the collection relieves pressure that pushes the eye forward and threatens vision.
