Eye Muscle Weakened With A Deep Stitch

Vermont rates for HCPCS 67334

Anchors an eye muscle to the wall of the eyeball well behind its normal attachment, which weakens the pull of that muscle in certain directions of gaze. It is used in surgery to straighten eyes that do not line up, particularly when the misalignment appears only when looking a particular way. It is performed as part of the main eye-straightening operation and billed in addition to it.
