Complex Retinal Detachment Repair

Washington rates for HCPCS 67113

A surgeon repairs a severe, complicated case of retinal detachment, in which the light-sensing layer at the back of the eye has pulled away from its normal position, often involving significant scar tissue. The procedure typically includes removing the vitreous gel from inside the eye and carefully repositioning and securing the retina. This is a more involved version of retinal detachment surgery, used for cases that are harder to fix than a straightforward detachment.
