Laser Iridotomy (Eye)

Missouri rates for HCPCS 66761

A laser is used to create a tiny opening in the colored part of the eye (the iris) to allow fluid to flow more freely inside the eye. It is most often performed to treat or prevent a form of glaucoma caused by blocked fluid drainage, which can otherwise cause a dangerous rise in eye pressure. The procedure is done without cutting into the eye surgically.
