Making an Opening in the Iris to Let Light In

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 66635

Removes a small piece of the iris, the colored ring of the eye, through an incision at the edge of the cornea, creating a clear window for light to reach the back of the eye. It is used when the usual path through the pupil is blocked, for example by scarring or clouding in the center, so that light can enter around the obstruction. The new opening works as a second pupil.
