Glaucoma Drainage Implant Without a Patch

Arizona rates for HCPCS 66179

Implants a small drainage device in the eye: a fine tube carries fluid out of the front of the eye to a flat plate stitched onto the white of the eye further back, where the fluid is absorbed. It brings down the pressure inside the eye when drops and other surgery have failed to control glaucoma. In this version the tube is not covered over with a patch of donor or other tissue.
