Opening The Eye's Drainage Canal With A Catheter

Vermont rates for HCPCS 66175

A very fine catheter is threaded around the eye's natural drainage canal and used to stretch it open along its length, so fluid can leave the eye more freely and the pressure inside falls. It is used for glaucoma, where raised pressure can damage the optic nerve and sight.
