Full-Thickness Cornea Transplant

Vermont rates for HCPCS 65755

Replaces the whole thickness of the cornea, the clear dome at the front of the eye, with a matching disc of donor tissue held by very fine stitches. It is done when the cornea has become cloudy, scarred, or misshapen enough to blur vision badly. Healing is slow and the stitches stay in for months.
