This service surgically cuts or removes a small sensory nerve located above the eyebrow, called the supraorbital nerve, to relieve chronic pain in that area. It is used when other treatments for nerve-related pain in the forehead have not been effective. Because this nerve carries sensation rather than movement, cutting it does not affect facial muscle function.
