Release of the Ulnar Nerve at the Wrist

Rhode Island rates for HCPCS 64719

Frees the ulnar nerve where it passes through a tight tunnel on the little-finger side of the wrist, and may move it to a roomier position. Pressure on this nerve causes numbness and tingling in the ring and little fingers and weakness of the small hand muscles. The surgeon opens the tissue that is squeezing the nerve so it can glide freely again.
