Freeing the Sciatic Nerve

Vermont rates for HCPCS 64712

Frees the sciatic nerve — the thick nerve running from the buttock down the back of the thigh — from scar tissue, tight bands, or other tissue pressing on it, working through an open incision. Taking the pressure off lets the nerve recover and eases the burning pain, numbness, and weakness it was causing. The nerve itself is not cut.
