Removal of a damaged disc in the mid-back, reached from the front of the spine by working through the chest cavity between the ribs rather than through an incision in the back. Pressure is taken off the spinal cord or nerve roots and any bone spurs are trimmed away. This covers each further disc level treated during the same operation, billed in addition to the main procedure.
