Hinging Open The Bony Arch Of The Neck Spine

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 63050

Widens the bony canal in the neck that holds the spinal cord by cutting the back arch of the vertebrae and hinging it open like a door, then propping it in the open position. Pressure on the spinal cord is relieved over more than one level while the bone is kept rather than removed. It is done for narrowing of the canal that causes clumsy hands, numbness, or difficulty walking.
