Removes bone from the back of a vertebra in the mid-back, along with part of the facet joint and the roof of the nerve exit tunnel, to take pressure off the spinal cord and nerve roots. It treats narrowing of the spinal canal that causes pain, numbness or weakness. One level of the spine is treated.
