Minimally Invasive Removal Of Disc Material In The Spine

New Mexico rates for HCPCS 62287

This procedure removes or decompresses a portion of a herniated spinal disc through a needle or narrow probe inserted through the skin, without open surgery. It's used to relieve pressure on a nearby spinal nerve that is causing pain, numbness, or weakness, most often in the low back. It's typically done with local anesthesia and light sedation, and recovery is faster than with open spine surgery.
