Deep Exposure Of The Front Skull Base Inside The Lining

Vermont rates for HCPCS 61583

Covers the surgical exposure needed to reach the front of the skull base, made by opening the skull above the eyes, opening the tough membrane that covers the brain and working within it, lifting or removing part of the frontal lobe, and cutting through the bony floor beneath. This opens a route down to structures at the base of the skull that cannot otherwise be seen. Treating the tumor or defect found there is billed separately.
