Removal Of A Meningioma From The Upper Brain

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 61512

Opens the skull to remove a meningioma, a growth arising from the membranes that cover the brain, from the upper part of the brain. These growths are usually slow-growing and not cancerous, but they cause trouble by pressing on the brain beneath and can bring on headaches, weakness, or seizures. The surgeon separates the growth from the brain surface and takes it out, along with affected covering where that can be done safely.
