Keyhole Removal of an Adrenal Gland

Vermont rates for HCPCS 60650

Through small incisions in the abdomen or flank and a camera, the surgeon inspects an adrenal gland, the small hormone-producing gland that sits on top of each kidney, and removes part or all of it. It is done for growths in the gland and for tumors that pour out hormones and drive high blood pressure or other symptoms. A tissue sample may be taken instead when removal is not needed.
