Thymus Removal Through The Neck

Delaware rates for HCPCS 60520

The thymus gland, which sits behind the upper breastbone, is removed through an incision at the base of the neck, so the breastbone does not have to be split. All or part of the gland is taken out. It is most often done for myasthenia gravis or for a growth in the gland.
