Keyhole surgery to treat a pregnancy that has implanted outside the womb, usually in a fallopian tube. A camera and instruments are passed through small incisions in the abdomen, the pregnancy is removed and any bleeding is controlled. It is often done urgently, because an ectopic pregnancy can cause dangerous internal bleeding.
