Keyhole-Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy

Vermont rates for HCPCS 58550

Removes the uterus using keyhole instruments passed through small abdominal openings to free it from its attachments, after which the uterus is delivered through the vagina and the top of the vagina is closed. Combining the two routes avoids a long abdominal incision. It is used for fibroids, heavy bleeding, prolapse, and other non-cancerous problems of the uterus.
