Georgia rates for HCPCS 57461

A magnified visual exam of the cervix (colposcopy) is combined with removal of a cone-shaped piece of cervical tissue using a thin, heated wire loop, taking a larger and deeper sample than a smaller biopsy. This is used both to further evaluate and, often, to treat an area of abnormal cervical cells found on prior screening.
