Removal Of A Bartholin's Gland Or Cyst

Vermont rates for HCPCS 56740

Removes a swollen gland or its cyst from beside the opening of the vagina. The whole cyst or gland is taken out through an incision rather than simply drained, and the tissue is sent for laboratory examination. It is done for a swelling that keeps coming back or that repeated drainage has not cured.
